The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, CPB, was battling a public image of themselves as intellectual, elitist, out-of-date and out-of-touch. They needed an updated brand image that would reflect their sense of purpose and their commitment to the future.
SOLUTION
Through a series of targeted discovery sessions, we worked closely with CPB to identify and differentiate the key values and personality traits that would position the brand as an innovative and competitive thought-leader in the world of quality programming and education. We created a new brand-identity for CPB that reflected a more corporate and tech-savvy organization, while still building on the equity of 30 years of public service. We found inspiration for their positioning line in the underwriting credits; and turned the familiar “made possible by...” into: CPB | Making It Possible. Additionally, we created a branded office environment that communicates, reflects and, reinforces the values and attributes of the brand to employees and guests; and we designed a series of themed annual reports that highlight concepts critical to the mission of CPB.
